Online Wine Tasting
The Magic of Sherry Wines!

Discover the world of Spanish Sherry Wines, thanks to a virtual wine tour to the famous triangle of Jerez-Xérès-Sherry composed of Jerez, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Puerto de Santa María and its ancient history that dates back to the Phoenician era.

Invite friends and family members to join this fantastic online wine experience.
The total price is 215€ and up to 20 screens can join the experience.

During this private online wine tasting, you will be guided by Jimena, Sommelier and WSET certified, specialised in Spanish wines.

This Online Wine tasting will be conducted in ENGLISH.

Sherry wines are undoubtedly among the most versatile and interesting wines when it comes to food pairings. Let’s forget about those foods traditionally difficult to pair with still wines like eggplant or artichokes! Try a Fino or a Palo Cortado and the experience will be awesome!

We will explain what biological ageing is and how it is taken care of in the winery. But before that, we will take a virtual tour to the “terroir” of Jerez area, its Albariza soils and the most important grape variety of the area: Palomino.

We will go through the different styles of Sherry wines and we will explain them one by one.

To attend this wine tasting I would recommend buying two different styles of Sherry Wines, in order to compare them. They could be:

Fino (or Manzanilla) and Amontillado

Fino and Oloroso

Palo Cortado and Oloroso

If you like sweet wines, here are a couple of choices:

  • Cream
  • PX (Pedro Ximénez)

Here are some wineries I recommend:

– González Byass

– Tradición

– Barbadillo

– Lustau

– Domecq

– Osborne

– Valdespino

Once you book your place I will send you some food pairing recommendations for you to enjoy the experience to the fullest!

Don’t miss out this wonderful experience!

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

The tasting will be conducted by Jimena, Spanish wine Educator and founder of Colorful Wines, a company focused on organising wine tours to different Spanish wine regions, wine tastings and team building experiences. Jimena is WSET level 3 certified and she is also a Certified Cava and Sherry wine Educator.

Note:

We will share a Zoom link for you and your guests to join the experience.

What our previous customers say about our online wine tastings!

‘We have had the opportunity to enjoy 4 wine tasting sessions with Colorful Wines during our lockdown. Although our main purpose was to give us something different to do, it has been a great learning experience, Ximena makes it very educational with key facts and history as well as differences between each wine region in Spain. We learn about the types of grapes, the impact of the climate, the process, storage, etc. We are looking forward to our next virtual tasting and preparing for a real live one as soon as we can.’
Eduardo Salazar, Wokingham, UK

‘It has been an amazing experience to attend the virtual tours that Colorful wines has been organising.
Each week Jimena takes you to a different region or presents a type of wine and it’s like you are there in Spain with her; you can imagine what would it be to visit those wineries and sip a glass of wine while enjoying magnificent scenery.
I particularly appreciate learning about the history that has allowed those wines to become what they are, the influence that Phoenicians or Romans had.
Then you get to try authentic gems from each region that I could had easily overlook without Jimena’s expert guidance.
The icing on the cake is to learn which food pairs best with the wine you are enjoying.
I can’t recommend you enough to join the next virtual tour, you will be hooked!’
Diahann Benítez, Bern, Switzerland
